Multisensory
Platform for Standards-Aligned Curriculum Delivery
IntelliTools Classroom Suite
is a software platform for delivering K-8 curriculum aligned to content
standards. It provides districts and schools with a multisensory environment
for differentiated instruction by enabling educators to tailor specific
instructional activities to the individual learning needs of students.
IntelliTools Classroom helps educators boost achievement in math,
language arts, social studies, and science with:
- Curriculum-based,
standards-aligned activities and templates
- Activity answer tracking,
record keeping, and student portfolios
- Plus: multimedia authoring
tools for both students and teachers
You'll love these easy-to-use,
cross-curricular authoring and presentation tools. And if you know our
tools, you'll be delighted by their now integrated functionality and network
compatibility!
Classroom
Applications
K-8 teachers can now give students cross-curricular classroom activities
to practice and track student responses using either the provided
sample activities or creating their own specific standards-aligned
activities with the Tools' handy templates. IntelliTools Classroom
provides the tools to help you achieve your classroom goals, with:
- Curriculum-Based
Activities
- Answer Tracking and
Assessment
- Creativity and
Self-Expression
|
Curriculum-Based Activities
Teachers can assign a series of activities for students. A sampling of 30
activities in four grade ranges in reading, writing, math, social studies,
and science come with IntelliTools Classroom.
- For example, a first-grade teacher can assign a phonics activity
for students to practice, and then assign a related writing activity
aligned to the decoding skills the students have just explored.
Answer Tracking and
Assessment
Teachers can track students' activity responses and quiz answers, and then
record, report, and print student records for student assessment. Program
files as well as student records and preferences can be stored on a network
server.
- A science teacher can have students label parts of a cell using
IntelliPics Studio 3, then print their diagrams, and/or have their scores
available for a parent-teacher conference.
Network
versions allow you and your administrators easy access to student
assessment details over the network. You'll no longer have to collect
data from individual computers. Now it's centralized!
IntelliTools Classroom tracks each student's performance in his
or her own private portfolio, records student responses, compares them
to expected answers, and makes their scoring results available in both
detailed and summary reports. |
Both students and teachers
benefit from this powerful capability. Students can check answers as they
work, getting immediate feedback on their written work, math problem, or
multimedia activity. Teachers can make this answer-checking option available
for practice and later remove it for testing. Teachers can quickly access
student work and view records of their progress. They can also view and
print reports of student work without having to open individual documents.
Creativity and Self-Expression
IntelliTools Classroom's three authoring tools are engaging programs
students will love—whether creating exciting multimedia presentations using
drawing, animations, video, and sound in IntelliPics Studio 3;
exploring the magic of math with virtual manipulatives in IntelliMathics
3; or composing with a word processor that combines graphics, text, and
speech in IntelliTalk 3.
|
For example, sixth grade students who have developed a classroom survey
about parent carpooling can visualize the results as fractions or
percent in IntelliMathics 3, describe the methodology of the survey in
IntelliTalk 3, and create a multimedia presentation for the school board
in IntelliPics Studio 3.
|
IntelliTools Classroom
provides teachers with the means to create all types of projects, large or
small, simple or complex. Teachers can use any of the three tools to easily
modify the existing activities or create their own interactive activities,
quizzes, presentations, and games for their classroom.

Universal Access
The concept of Universal Design - that all students, regardless of physical
and learning differences, have access to our products - has been a
long-standing philosophy that guides IntelliTools' software and hardware
innovations. Our programming environments enable our software to feature
speech output, single-switch scanning, and automatic sending of IntelliKeys
overlays, in addition to access by a standard keyboard, mouse or
touch-screen. Our products also meet the accessibility requirements of
Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
Testimonials
"Since it was first published, IntelliPics has been a very effective
multimedia program in the classroom. IntelliPics Studio refines many
of the wonderful features of IntelliPics and adds many new
dimensions. I'm looking forward to all the new ways to incorporate this
program for the classrooms and children I help support. Its seamless
transition between Macintosh and Windows platforms makes it much easier to
support the different platforms." Mariangeles C. Murphy-Herd, The Capper
Foundation, Topeka, KS
"IntelliMathics - WOW! It makes math visible! So many children
continue to need visual support to understand math concepts. Too often,
manipulatives are taken away after the early primary grades, while for
others, they do not have the physical abilities to manipulate these objects.
This tool allows them to manipulate objects they cannot hold. Don't think
that IntelliMathics is just a tool for teaching math. I use it for
sequencing activities, community-based instruction and much more. This
math-phobic teacher is a math lover now." Kathie Maltby, Irvine, CA
"IntelliTalk II is a lead program for curriculum access. I use it
create activities in all content areas that keep students with disabilities
up to speed with their nondisabled peers. The amazing thing is that
activities created with IntelliTalk II end up working for all the
students in the class! IntelliTalk II is the one program in my
technology toolbox that I could not be without!" Cathy Tamburello, Verona,
